Las Vegas, Nevada, September 30, 2025 – North America’s No. 1 sport of football is making its long-awaited entry into women’s sports with the launch of The X League, the game’s first Tier 1 female platform. In advance of its Spring 2026 debut, The X League announced today that it has added Oakvale Capital and JAM Capital as investment advisory partners, further strengthening its global expansion strategy and positioning women’s American football for unprecedented growth.
The X League will debut the first-ever youth-to-professional ecosystem in women’s American football, establishing a full development pathway for athletes across all levels. Already, The X League has amassed the largest digital and social audience in American football outside of the NFL, demonstrating the massive market potential of the women’s game. The franchise is also pioneering the sport’s Global Pathway Program and worldwide youth camps led by female coaches who have competed in the sport, ensuring the next generation of players has direct mentorship from trailblazers on the field.
Launching in Spring 2026, the inaugural season will feature eight clubs across major U.S. markets: Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Chicago, New England, Miami, and Atlanta. Expansion is planned through 2033, with international league play to follow in the UK, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Australia, and Canada.
The X League is currently in an active fundraising round to accelerate its U.S. expansion and roll out a groundbreaking media strategy centered on innovation through disruption. This includes first-of-its-kind live sports broadcasting features that give fans unmatched access, control, and game intelligence.
Oakvale Capital will serve as lead investment banking advisory group, bringing extensive experience across some of the largest transactions in global sports.
Sandford Loudon, Managing Partner, Oakvale Capital said “Oakvale is incredibly excited to be a pioneering partner of The X League as it brings the last of the major sports into the women’s sports realm.”
Joining Oakvale is JAM Capital, founded in 2024 by Mark Coetzee, a 32-year investment banking veteran who previously led equities in South Africa for HSBC and served as Head of International Execution across EMEA for both JP Morgan and Citi.
“Building a multinational sports franchise requires not only capital but also alignment with long-term vision,” said Mark Coetzee, President, JAM Capital. “The X League represents one of the most significant global sports opportunities of our time—societal, cultural, and commercial.”
